feed your head

the hair dressers ultimate secret...
moroccan oil

yes. product is very important to keeping your hair healthy. yes. there are a lot of products that just cause buildup. and yes. this is the ultimate hair meal. outed as a revolutionary styling and finishing product, Moroccan Oil is one of the latest in innovative, healthy hair treatments. just apply a few tiny drops to clean damp hair from roots to tips and you’ll immediately notice a natural, silky softness in your hair’s texture without that greasy, heavy feeling you might find with other hair serums. Moroccan Oil instantly goes to work seeping deep into your roots, repairing all of your split ends, while nourishing your scalp with beneficial antioxidants and Vitamins E and F.

this super serum works well on all hair types and is especially good at making tangles and those tiny knots disappear with ease - no more tugging and breakage! plus the fragrance is a fabulously subtle, incense-y scent that leans more towards a spicy-caribbean coconut than a sugary tropical aroma. Moroccan Oil promises no build up, protects against UV damage and other environmental pollutants, and provides unbelievable shine. it also claims to speed up your drying time by 40%…

this item can retail up to $50.00! we are giving this away for FREE to one of our blogspot followers. we will draw randomly from our list of followers on the right side of this blog...so become a follower already! keep in touch to find out the winner.

off the runway...2010 hair accessories

here are some accessories from what was seen on the runway

bunny ears & feathers

bunny ears
louis vuitton sent their interpretation of bunny ear headbands down the runway. unsurprisingly, the humble headband is in comeback mode for 2009 and 2010; but don't go reaching for your girl-next-door alice band just yet. this is a specific micro-trend that marries the sexiness of a vintage playboy bunny with the elegance of high fashion.

how to wear it
do: go for tousled bedhair, a simple up-do, or 60's sex-kitten voluminous locks; be fashion-forwards, daring, and confident; have fun with it.

don't: spoil it by wearing cheap costume props. the appeal is in the luxury. this doesn't necessarily mean spending bucketloads, just choosing quality materials and well-crafted accessories.

do: wear it for a night out, day at the races, and any fun or frivolous activity. a big set of bunny ears is probably not so great for the office.

don't: wear it with outfits that are too cutesy or girly; it's a fine balance between smoldering sexiness and girly innocence that makes this trend so workable.

who's designing it?
louis vuitton, as mentioned above, have garnered plenty of attention with their take. but before Marc Jacobs got rabbity
for LV, maison michel had lace bunny and cat ear headbands in his fall 2009 collection. there were also bow hats on moschino cheap & chic's autumn(fall)/winter 2009 runway that were reminiscent of mickey-mouse ears.

feathers
i love feathers. it's their natural beauty; the compendium of a multitude of hues brought together in vibrant patterns governed by nature... all for attracting a mate. just think about the grace and style of the peacock and you will see what i mean. well, the feather trend has been creeping up on catwalks since A/W 08-09, and I think its about time we all took a flight of fancy!
one of the easiest ways to wear the feather trend is as part of headwear. with a choice between a cute array on dainty slides or skinny alice bands with shoots of feathers coming off, it doesn't take a lot of daring to pull it off. then there's the next step, for the truly fashion obsessed: the headband.

the headband craze sweeping modern bohemia loves their feathered friend. now headbands can be found made with real feathers on websites that make unique designs (check out etsy to see what i'm talking about), or in high street chains like Accessorize who specialise in fascinators adorned with them. think peaches geldof and nicole richie and you won't be far off in emulating what I'm describing.

If you're brave you can go for the headdress look a la erin wasson at chanel. wasson looks like a modern day tiger lily, conjuring up images of exotic elegance and fun. the headdress brings a playful touch to her otherwise innocent, pure white ensemble.

what do you think? would you ever accessorize with bunny ears or feathers?

oily hair?

if you've got oily hair, then you are just about washing it every day, or pulling it up into a pony tail.

there is an easy, affordable, helpful solution:sprinkle some baby powder into your hands and rub them together. lightly finger the baby powder through your scalp/greasiest areas. sparingly use the baby powder and if you need more lightly add more. no one will ever tell that your hair is a few days old.
